Code Blues and Red Eyes

I swear I'm getting better at this coding stuff, but honestly, there are days when my project just feels like a never-ending puzzle with pieces that don't fit. Tonight's the worst so far; my eyes hurt, and it's 2 AM, not exactly my usual bedtime. It was supposed to be easy-peasy, I mean, it looked simple on paper, but now here I am stuck, staring at this code like it's an encrypted message from aliens. Every time I think I've got a breakthrough, something goes sideways again, and I feel like I'm spinning in circles without making any progress. I keep telling myself to take a break, but you know how that goes, the minute I try to distract myself with Netflix or scrolling through social media, my mind just wanders back to the problem at hand. Maybe it's just me being overly sensitive or something, but sometimes I feel like this stuff should come naturally, like breathing or tying shoelaces. But nope, there are nights when even writing a simple function feels like climbing Mount Everest. It's not that I hate coding, far from it! There are moments when everything clicks and it's pure joy, but on days like tonight, it feels more like a chore than an escape into creativity. I think I need to remind myself why I started coding in the first place, for those exact moments of discovery and triumph. So, maybe after this marathon session ends with either success or giving up (but hoping it's the former), I'll take a step back from all this chaos and remember what got me into it. Until then, though, here’s to more red-eyed nights and endless coffee refills.
