Missed Call

I saw my best friend's name on my screen and froze. I knew if I picked up she'd ask why I wasn't in class today, but I couldn't lie to her face. So I just let it go to voicemail and now every time I hear the beep, it's like a tiny reminder of when I was too scared to talk about feeling sick.
