Old Dog Tricks

I’m not one for jumping on bandwagons, especially when they’re careening down a steep hill. But my friends insisted I learn how to use TikTok. They said it’s the future and that if you don’t get on board now, you’ll be left behind like a dial-up modem in an age of fiber-optic cables. So, I signed up. And then what did I do? I started posting videos about my dog, Biscuit. Biscuit is a senior golden retriever who has never met a ball he didn’t love rolling into the neighbor’s yard, and every single video shows him doing just that, over and over again. I swear it’s not even on purpose. He rolls the ball because I throw it, and I throw it because otherwise, we’d both be bored out of our minds. But apparently, my friends think it’s hilarious to watch this old dog repeatedly annoy Mr. Johnson next door. And here I am, a grown man in his 50s, feeling like some sort of digital grandpa网红，每天都在社交媒体上分享我家狗把球踢到邻居院子里的视频。虽然朋友们觉得这很搞笑，但我心里还是有点尴尬的。毕竟我也不想让别人觉得我只是在记录一只老狗无聊的生活吧。
