New Kid in Town Struggles

Hey there, I've been the new kid in town for about two months now. Honestly, it's not going as smoothly as I hoped. I moved here with my family after my dad got a new job, but let’s just say, fitting in isn't my strong suit. At school, I keep trying to make friends, but I end up tripping over myself, both literally and figuratively. Like last week, during lunch, while telling a joke that went over well back home, everyone here looked at me like I had three heads. And today, when the class was asked to share our summer reads, I mentioned this weird fantasy series I love, only to have everyone roll their eyes. I know they’re just being teenagers and it’s normal to feel left out, but sometimes it feels like no one understands my world. It's a little embarrassing admitting that, but hey, I guess that's what moving into uncharted territory gets you.
