Why Did My Kid Ask for an Odd Reward?

So my kids had a big test last week and I promised them a reward if they did well. They all ended up acing their tests, so naturally, they wanted some kind of treat. To my surprise, none asked for toys or candy; one wanted to watch every episode of 'SpongeBob SquarePants,' another requested an hour-long session at the arcade, and the last insisted on a trip to the museum twice!
