My Little Lie About My Homework

So, there's this one time when I totally fibbed to my history teacher. She asked us if we had read the chapter about medieval knights and castles for our homework, and everyone else was like 'Yeah! Totally done!' But really, I'd been too busy watching that new fantasy show on Netflix all night. So instead of owning up, I made up this little fib: 'Oh yeah, I totally did it but my cat knocked over a glass of water right when I got to the good part about King Arthur. It was like a real-life medieval adventure in my room!' Everyone laughed and she gave me another day or two to finish reading. Now, every time we talk about history homework, I cringe because she's totally onto me now. But hey, at least it kept her from confiscating my TV for the weekend.
