Bored at Work But Who Cares?

So here's the thing, I've been having one of those weeks where absolutely nothing interesting happens in the office. Monday felt like Wednesday, and Tuesday was practically a Thursday knockoff. I tried to stay busy by organizing my desk for the hundredth time this month and even attempted to tackle that memo from last week about updating our company software policies (yeah, right). Instead, I ended up scrolling through endless cat videos and daydreaming about vacation spots with great coffee shops. Last night, I even set an alarm at 7 PM to remind me it was time to go home because being around co-workers who are as enthusiastic as zombies is enough to suck the life out of anyone. Today, I'm considering bringing in a book that's not work-related just to see how long my boss ignores me before calling me into his office to ask if everything’s okay. So far, no one seems to mind. Maybe boredom isn’t such a bad thing after all, everyone around here needs an excuse for a nap now and then.
