My Silly Science Fair Project Backfired

Hey everyone! So I recently participated in our school's science fair. My project was about creating a machine that could tell if someone was lying just by analyzing their body language and facial expressions. It seemed like such a cool idea at first, but here’s the thing: my project ended up being so good at detecting lies that it started giving false positives for some of my friends during testing. Turns out, I have a knack for overthinking things, which made me look guilty even when I wasn't! During the actual fair, I couldn't help but feel like everyone was staring and whispering about how weird I must be to build something so... invasive? Sure enough, by the end of the day, my project won 'Most Controversial,' not 'Best Overall.' I guess sometimes your best-laid plans can backfire hilariously.
