I Am Definitely Not the Asshole Here

So, I work from home as a freelance graphic designer. My best friend, Sarah, also works from home but she's an editor at a publishing company. We've been friends since college and we both started our WFH careers around the same time. Sarah is really into organizing and maintaining some semblance of balance in her work life. She schedules breaks, sets reminders for stretching her legs and getting coffee. I respect that about her but it never really clicked with me. I've always preferred a more flexible approach to my schedule. One day, Sarah came over while I was working on an important client project. She mentioned she had a few meetings coming up and asked if it would be okay if she did some quick work from my place while she waited for her meeting invites to load. I agreed but reminded her that I needed uninterrupted focus for the next hour or so. While Sarah was waiting, she noticed how messy my workspace is (I tend to stack everything until absolutely necessary) and decided to help clean up a bit. She put away some files, rearranged my sticky notes, even started wiping down my keyboard. When I returned from a quick break, I could tell something had changed but I was too focused on the task at hand to really notice or care about it right then. Later that day, Sarah sent me a message asking if I'd prefer she not organize my space anymore without permission since I might need everything exactly where it was. She added a small 'sorry if I overstepped' and signed off with a smiley face. I didn't respond for days. I just couldn't believe how defensive the whole thing made me feel! My workspace is my sanctuary, and no one messes around with that without permission. Yet here she was, apologizing as if what she did was perfectly normal because people are supposed to organize each other's spaces in a friendly manner. Now Sarah avoids coming over when I'm working intensely, thinking maybe she caused some kind of rift between us by trying to be helpful. But no way am I the asshole here! I don't care how much my work space needs tidying; it’s sacred ground and nobody else gets to decide for me.
