So, my teenagers have this...thing where they decide to start cleaning their rooms at the exact moment I'm trying to relax with a book. It's like clockwork. They think it's funny to suddenly remember all these chores right when I need quiet time. And don't even get me started on the 'urgent' messages they send each other, making sure everyone is aware of how much homework they have and how stressed out they are about it... Meanwhile, they're binge-watching TikTok videos under their blankets. ...I mean, I know they're growing up and all...but can't they at least pretend to care about school when I'm around? It's like pulling teeth getting them to do anything that actually helps with their future... But hey, who needs sleep or a social life anyway, right?...
