I Broke The Dorm Rules On Day One

So, here’s the thing. I’m a first-year college student and I moved into my dorm last week. My roommate is this super strict, rule-abiding type who thinks everything should be done exactly by the book. On day one, we were given all these rules about noise levels and cleanliness, but you know what? I just didn’t feel like following them. We had a pizza night planned for Saturday evening, right before curfew, because my roommate was going out with her friends. But then she left me alone in the dorm, and naturally, we ended up playing loud music way past midnight and cleaning up until 3 AM. I felt kinda bad at first, but honestly? It was fun breaking rules that seemed so unnecessary. The next morning, my roommate came back grumpy as a bear with a sore tooth. She went straight to the RA and tattled on me like I was ten years old again. But here’s the kicker: she told them I’d been binge-watching Netflix all night too! Which is not true, I had to actually sleep for at least an hour. Of course, now there are these random checks every day from the RA and stricter curfews. I’m still defiant though. Rules can be broken sometimes without being a total nightmare, right? It was just one pizza party gone wild. But hey, I don’t regret it, I had fun, and so did our little corner of campus for a night.
