Why Am I So Forgetful Lately?

I swear, ever since my kids moved out and I started working from home full-time, I can’t seem to keep anything straight. This morning, I left the house with my phone in my handbag only to realize once I was at work that it had slipped back into my jacket pocket. By lunchtime, I’d forgotten about having no phone all together. Now, my wife is calling me every five minutes because she needs a code for her new smart lock and I’m supposed to be the one with the backup copy stored in my email...but can’t remember if I did or not. Is everyone this scatterbrained sometimes? Am I just getting old, or could something more serious be going on?
