Colleague's Smile

Saw my coworker smiling today, didn’t talk to her or anything. Just looked over and saw that smile. Now I’m thinking about it all day. Why is this a big deal? Does anyone feel weird seeing someone else’s smile and getting sucked into their own thoughts like that? Advice, please.
