I Pranked My Little Sister With Her Favorite Doll and She's Still Not Speaking to Me About It

So here’s the deal. I’m in the middle of three siblings. My big sister is a total goody-goody, always making me feel like everything I do is wrong. But my little sister Lily, she’s just this sweet kid with this obsession for her stuffed bear named Fluffy, it’s seriously ridiculous how much she loves that thing. It goes everywhere with her. Well, last week was one of those days when my mom wasn’t around and Lily had left Fluffy on the couch. I thought to myself, ‘Why not just give her a little surprise? A prank like she deserves after being such a brat all day long about me borrowing some of her crayons without asking.’ So, I took Fluffy down to our basement for what felt like ages. I put that bear in this old cardboard box full of toys and made it look like it had been playing rough with the other toys, you know? Some torn wrapping paper and some fake dirt from outside, totally staged. Then I went upstairs, found Lily, and told her sweetly to check her room for a message from Fluffy. And let me tell you, watching her face light up when she saw that little mess was worth it. She started laughing at first, thinking this was all some funny joke between us until she noticed Fluffy was missing. She started crying, I mean real tears here, not just acting like a baby. So, yeah, I put Fluffy back where I found him after waiting for her to freak out completely. But now every time I try to talk about it or explain that I didn’t mean anything bad, she just tells me to leave her alone and walks away. I get why my mom is upset at me too, but honestly, Lily gets way too wound up over the littlest stuff sometimes. She's always so dramatic about everything. It’s like this one big joke with her going nuts about it all day now and I can't help feeling a bit defiant, you know? Like if she hadn’t been such an annoying little sister in the first place, maybe Fluffy wouldn’t have gone missing. Yeah, yeah, some might call me the asshole here, but hey, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get through to people. I’m not sorry about it and probably would do something like that again if she pushes too hard next time.
