...When I Snuck A Scooby Snack Into The House...

Anonymous Smitten Scoundrel #940 · General

So, you know how the kids have a strict rule about not bringing any junk food into the house? Yeah, it's supposed to be healthy and all that. Well, today was just one of those days where every single task felt like climbing Mount Everest in high heels. So I found myself at the grocery store grabbing a box of Scooby Snacks for my dog, but somehow ended up putting one in my own pocket... It was just there, in my jacket, staring back at me with its chocolatey goodness. And before I could really think about it properly, I had sneaked it home and managed to scarf it down right after the kids went to bed... So here's what happened: I felt all guilty for a second, then realized that life is short and full of choices. Is this normal? Do other parents do this too without feeling terrible later on? It was just one little cookie, but it didn't feel like such a small thing at the time. Thoughts? Comments? Am I alone here?...
