I've Started Knitting Like It's My Job...

So I recently picked up knitting as a hobby, thinking it would be relaxing. I used to watch my grandma do it and she’d always say how soothing the rhythmic motion was. But I didn’t anticipate just HOW much time it takes! I'm at home now, mostly working from there too, but... wow, this new passion has really taken over my schedule... First off, I thought I'd try out scarves for a simple project to get started with, right? Easy enough. But then... I got so into learning about different yarn types and techniques that I ended up ordering every single kind there is online! It's gotten to the point where my living room looks like an artisanal yarn store. And it’s not just about knitting, I mean, yes, that takes a lot of time. But then I started looking into patterns for everything from socks and mittens to sweaters and even blankets! The variety is insane... and every piece seems more challenging than the last. But here's the thing: my job, which used to be pretty stressful but manageable, has kind of become overshadowed by this hobby. And it’s not like I can just turn off the desire to learn how to do new things with yarn!... I'm supposed to take care of a lot at home too... house stuff and such. But knitting feels like the most important thing on my plate now, honestly... Which is maybe a bit weird? I guess what I want to say is that I love this hobby but... I feel guilty about it sometimes, you know? So yeah... That's where things are at right now. Just me, figuring out how to balance everything while still getting lost in knitting every chance I get.
