So yeah, last week at work, there was this big announcement about a new office-wide productivity initiative. And let's be real, who really wants to spend their break reading that kind of corporate jargon? So when my co-worker Alex mentioned they loved getting surprise treats, I thought 'Why not give them something unexpected?' I knew they had a weakness for chocolate-covered espresso beans, so I grabbed some and planted them in the shared kitchenette next to the sign about the productivity plan. I labeled it with a playful note that said, 'Productivity snack idea: eat one, double your efficiency!' The look on Alex's face when they found out was priceless, horror at first, then laughter as everyone got into the joke. And you know what? They did crack under pressure and ate one or two, so maybe there is something to this productivity boost after all. I could probably get fired for it, but honestly, I'd do it again just for the laughs.
