i accidentally pranked my own school

so i was hanging out with some friends at lunch one day and we were talking about a prank video we saw online. it seemed pretty harmless, just making funny signs to put around the school that would be amusing but not really disruptive. so we decided to do it as our small revenge against this teacher who gives us loads of homework all the time. i wasn’t super into it at first because my mom always tells me to think before acting but then they convinced me it’d just make people laugh, nothing big. but when we went ahead with it and put up all these funny signs around school, everyone got kinda angry instead of laughing. i didn’t really expect anyone to take it seriously! the principal ended up finding out too and now there’s this investigation into who did it and they might have to punish us for breaking some rules about making unauthorized displays on school property. i feel so dumb for getting talked into something without thinking it through first. i mean, i knew deep down that putting signs everywhere probably wasn’t a great idea but i just went along with the group anyway. i wish i could turn back time and talk to my friends earlier about being more careful.
