My Secret Netflix Marathon on Work Hours

I can't believe I've been getting away with it for months now. As a freelancer who works from home, there's this sweet spot between 2 PM and 4 PM when my creative juices seem to dry up completely. It’s during these hours that I secretly binge-watch the latest Netflix series, pretending to be absorbed in a virtual meeting or a complex coding problem while actually watching one episode after another at breakneck speed. The funny part is, whenever my client emails me about progress, I manage to sound super productive and enthusiastic, totally masking my real activities. And don't get me started on the excuses I've made for not responding immediately, it's almost like an art form now! Of course, I always make sure to put in extra hours earlier or later in the day to compensate, but it’s that feeling of getting away with something sneaky and silly that really makes my day.
