My Little White Lie at Work

So here's the thing. I work in an office where everyone loves to boast about how much they've achieved and all their impressive projects. Well, let’s just say my accomplishments haven't exactly been headline-worthy this month. So when our boss asked us to submit a list of recent successes for the team meeting, I couldn’t help but exaggerate a bit. See, instead of saying, “I cleaned up some old emails,” or “Finished a boring report no one reads anyway,” I said something like, “Revamped the company's digital filing system, drastically improving efficiency!” Yeah, it’s not entirely true, but let's be real, who wouldn’t want to feel slightly less useless in their job? Now, I'm waiting for someone else to out-do me or maybe just get caught. But until then, here’s to fibbing with a purpose.
