When I Gave Up My Weekly Escape Plan
Anonymous Shifty Schemer #538 · General
I've always been a fan of my weekly routine at the local comic book store. Every Saturday morning, rain or shine, I'm there browsing for hours. But last week, something changed. As I was walking home with a new graphic novel, I noticed that a street vendor had set up across from my apartment building. He sells handmade bracelets and trinkets, and his stall is just where the comic shop used to be before they moved locations a few months back. I couldn't shake this feeling of sadness as if my Saturday routine was slipping away, replaced by something new but not quite right. I ended up buying a bracelet on impulse, thinking it would cheer me up. It did, for a little while, until I realized how much I missed the old comic shop and its familiar vibe. Is this just nostalgia kicking in? Or should I try to find another Saturday activity that keeps my weekends feeling special and consistent? Maybe there's something else out there waiting for me.
