So Much Text for an Answer?

I swear I’m just trying to study more efficiently. So last week I bought one of those productivity books where you read the first chapter and immediately feel a whole lot less productive, but at least it was on sale. Well now I’ve been staring at this wall for 20 minutes because my book said to “clear your mind” before any work gets done. Do people actually get anything done after they clear their minds? What even is clearing your mind, am I supposed to think about nothing or something different from my assignment? It’s like the more I try, the less I can focus. So here’s me trying to study for this huge exam on Wednesday. And just now, right as I was starting to get into it, I checked Twitter and found out my favorite band is touring this summer! So not only am I stressed about an exam but also excited about tickets going on sale next week. Does everyone else deal with distractions while studying or just me? Let’s be real here, have any of you ever actually cleared your mind for something productive?
