...When I Broke My Sister's New Coffee Machine...

So, let me set the scene for you. It’s a Sunday morning, and I’m already regretting that second cup of coffee from last night. The house is quiet, except for my dog snoring softly next to me on the couch. I’ve got this weird idea in my head about getting up early to tackle some home projects before everyone wakes up...yeah, right. But something’s gotta be done around here, right? My sister bought a new coffee machine last week, something fancy with that automatic pour-over feature, and she was super proud of it. She even showed me how to use it and everything.... It sat on the counter all weekend, taunting me every time I walked past, reminding me how much work needed doing around here. So there I am, in my pajamas, reaching for this machine like it’s some kind of magical cure-all device. As soon as I touch it, I hear that oh-so-familiar sound: the crack of glass shattering.... My sister had just gotten this thing! And it wasn’t even a cheap one either... I mean, you know what they say about those who play with fire right? Well, I played with a $100 machine and got burned. Literally. I honestly thought maybe no one would notice at first, I can move fast when I want to, grabbed the pieces and tossed them into recycling without anyone seeing me. But let’s be real, there was never really an 'out' for this one. I had to confess everything a few hours later over some cold instant coffee.... So yeah...I’m that guy who broke my sister's brand new coffee machine on purpose because I couldn’t handle the thought of it sitting empty and unused. Maybe I should have just taken the time to enjoy a cup or two, but nope, had to be the hero and fix everything myself. Great job, me....
