So I Pulled This Prank at Work Today...

Hey everyone, so today at work was pretty uneventful until around lunchtime. My coworkers and I were just chatting about the usual stuff when I had this silly idea to play a prank on the boss's assistant... It was such an impulsive decision, and honestly... it doesn't really fit my personality at all... But there was something about her constant serious demeanor that just... irked me. Plus, she seemed so in tune with the boss... And maybe I was just feeling a bit rebellious today? I don’t know if this is normal for someone who’s only been working here for three weeks, right? So yeah... before lunch I sent out an email to everyone from her account... it read something like 'Lunch break over! Get back to work or face the consequences!' with all these ridiculous fake penalties... It was pretty lame, but also kind of funny to me at the time. Like, it’s not like she’s going to fire people for being a minute late anyway... Then I just sat there in my cube wondering what would happen next... and praying she wouldn’t figure out who did this. But honestly? She came straight to ME with her suspicions... which is both embarrassing and kind of funny now that I think about it, because the email had no indication of being from me or anyone specific... Maybe I should have thought things through more carefully... Or maybe it’s just how new employees act when they're still figuring out company culture? It's like this weird blend of wanting to fit in but also feeling insecure and wanting to stand out a little. I don’t know if people here are going to look at me differently now that she has her suspicions... or if they already think I’m just some goofy prankster who doesn’t take things seriously enough... But honestly? Part of me kind of likes the idea that this is my 'thing' and it might stick with me throughout my career... It’s so random though, isn't it? And maybe a little immature... So yeah, just another day at my new job where I found myself in some unexpected drama. Thoughts?
