Refusing To Appear Weak

I was at work and got the flu, but my boss kept pressuring me to come in. I told him straight up that I wasn't sick, just taking a day off for no reason. He seemed surprised, but whatever, I deserved that day of rest. And you know what? It felt great to stand my ground instead of pretending everything was fine.
