The Midnight Snacker Lie

So here's the thing, I'm a night-shift worker at a warehouse. I've been doing this for years, and you know what they say about midnight snacks? They're not just cravings; they're an absolute necessity. Now, my manager is super strict about eating only during designated breaks. Thing is, every so often, around 3 AM when all the other night owls have passed out or switched to autopilot, I find myself craving something sweet and sugary. Last week, I had a major urge for chocolate, but my stash was down to that last square in the vending machine. Instead of waiting until break, which would take forever, I snuck some quick bites from the snack corner. Then came the guilt, what if someone noticed? So I made up this elaborate story about how my coworker left their candy bar out by mistake and it got all crushed. Told myself that was better than admitting to a 3 AM midnight munchie raid! Here's hoping no one saw me with my face in the wrapper, trying not to smudge it on the keyboard.
