The Great Chocolate Hoax

Well, I must confess that the other day when my granddaughter came to visit and said she'd left her favorite chocolate bar at home, I fibbed. Told her it had been eaten by our dog Spot. In reality? I’d already tucked it away for myself under some newspapers in the pantry. She’s got plenty of those bars anyway, but oh how sweet they are when you’ve snatched one without being caught! And let me tell ya, feeling a little guilty now that she’s gone, knowing there was a chance she could have had her chocolate and been none the wiser.
