I've Been Sabotaging My Own Success in College Classes

Ever since I started college, I’ve felt this weird pull towards self-sabotage. It’s not like I hate school or anything, quite the opposite; I’m genuinely excited to learn and grow. But here’s the thing: whenever a class gets too challenging, or when there's an assignment that might help me ace my semester, I find myself procrastinating in ways that feel deliberate rather than accidental. Like when Professor Jones assigned our first major project last week, I spent three days scrolling through Twitter instead of crafting that brilliant proposal draft. And now it’s due tomorrow and I’ve got nothing but a panic attack brewing. Why am I doing this to myself? Is there some sort of subconscious fear I’m dealing with here? Maybe deep down, I’m worried about what happens if I succeed, does success mean higher expectations for the future? It’s all so confusing.
