Why I Distracted the Muse

Today in art class, something strange happened. Usually, I'm completely engrossed in my work, lost in the moment as colors blend and shapes take form. But today, I found myself distracted by a small, unnecessary detail, a speck of dust on the corner of my canvas. I reached for my eraser, but instead of cleaning it up, I purposefully spread the dust across my work. It seemed absurd at the time, but perhaps I was trying to break through a creative rut. Was the act of disrupting perfection meant to spark something new? Or am I just messy and need to clean better?
