The Spark That Won't Fade

Anonymous Sheepish Scoundrel #726 · Crushes & Flirting

I’ve been blessed with another summer to spend time with my great-grandchildren, and among them is a little girl named Olivia who has captured my heart. She’s always asking me questions, her curiosity shining through those big blue eyes of hers. I find myself thinking about her all the time, how she giggles when we play hide-and-seek or how excited she gets when she learns something new at our family gatherings. There was this one day where I saw her running around the yard, and I felt a flutter in my chest that reminded me of being young again. It’s funny because for someone my age, you wouldn’t think it possible to have these feelings, but here we are. I don’t know what it means or if it will last, but right now, just knowing she exists makes the days brighter and more beautiful.
