Office Slacker Days

Oh boy, it’s been one of those weeks where I’m dragging my feet and trying to avoid work at all costs. Monday dragged into Tuesday, which turned into Wednesday, and now here we are. Today, the boss announced a mandatory team lunch that we’d be attending with some new hires from another department. While everyone was excited to meet them (or maybe just grateful for the free food), I saw this as an opportunity to sneak in a personal phone call, my mom’s birthday party, and I had promised her I would check in during my break! So, there I was, hiding behind a plant with my headphones on full blast, trying not to look too suspicious. Of course, one of the new hires walked by at that exact moment, probably wondering what kind of crazy office rituals we have here. But hey, it’s all about maintaining those familial bonds, right? #OffTheClockMoments
