My Secret Hobby

I swear I’m going to start knitting like a grandma any day now. You know what they say about keeping your hands busy, right? Well, my secret is that I’ve been sneaking into my mom’s attic and picking up her old crochet hooks and needles. She never uses them anymore since she got arthritis a few years back. And boy, do I feel like a rebel doing something so crafty behind her back. I mean, what would people think if they knew their 50-year-old neighbor was caught with a skein of yarn? It’s not just the thrill of being stealthy either, I actually find it incredibly soothing to create these intricate patterns and shapes out of nothing but string and metal hooks. So here’s to more secret crafting sessions in the attic, me and my mom’s old hobby.
