Why Do I Always Overthink?
Anonymous Charming Busybody #707 · General
I’ve always been the type to think things through before doing them. It’s usually a good thing, but lately, it feels like my brain is stuck in an endless loop of ‘what if’ scenarios. For example, this morning at the coffee shop, when I wanted to buy a small latte instead of the usual medium-sized one, my mind went into overdrive. What would people think? Would they notice that I was buying something smaller and assume I’m cutting back on expenses? Why am I so concerned with what others might be thinking about such a trivial decision? Sometimes, this habit makes me feel like an alien observing life instead of living it. Is there anything wrong with wanting to occasionally just grab my coffee and go without overthinking every little detail? It’s exhausting! Do other people struggle with this too, or am I the only one trapped in my own mind?
