New City Blues

I moved to a new city last month and thought it would be a fresh start. But every day feels like I'm trying to blend in with strangers instead of making friends. Yesterday, I saw the sun setting over this huge park near my apartment, and all I could think about was how much nicer it would look if there were old neighbors laughing together under those trees. It's hard to see everyone else moving forward while you're still stuck wondering when your story will begin here. Why does starting over feel so lonely?
