A Little Lie for the Sake of Laziness

Yesterday at work, I pretended to be out sick so I could stay in bed all day. It was only when my boss called to check on me that I started panicking and hurriedly typed a text back saying everything was fine. When I finally dragged myself into work later, I could see the relief on everyone's faces, they'd been scrambling without me. It felt good knowing they missed having me around, even if it was just for one day. Still, lying like that feels bad. But hey, I might do it again if it means another lazy morning in bed.
