I Ruined My Neighbor's Front Yard for Not Watering Their Plants Properly

Anonymous Sheepish Gossip #607 · General

So, I live in this little neighborhood with a bunch of people who all think they know what it means to be a good neighbor. One of them is Sarah, and she’s always going on about how her plants are delicate flowers that need just the right amount of water, like they’re some kind of princesses or something. Anyway, her yard has been dry as a bone for weeks now, but you know what? She never even thinks to turn on the sprinkler or give them a proper watering session. This morning I woke up and saw that there were two dead flowers in a row, they had brown leaves and no life left at all. And let me tell you, it wasn’t just because of lack of water. It was clear that Sarah just didn't care enough about the plants she claimed to be so proud of. I couldn’t take it anymore. I decided to do something about it myself. So I got my revenge in a way that felt perfectly justified. I grabbed some garden tools and started digging up those flowers, then planted a few weeds I found around town instead. Yes, you heard me, I made her front yard look worse than before. I was so angry, thinking how she should've been out there taking care of her plants, not just talking about them. And now they'll probably see the weeds and do something about it or ask for help. Whatever the case, I feel like I’ve done my part to make a statement here. Maybe next time, Sarah will actually water those flowers. I know some people might call me an asshole for this, but honestly? If she’s going to be so careless with her yard, then why should anyone else care about it?
