had an argument over chores

so my teenagers have been avoiding doing their chores around the house, which isn't new but has gotten worse since school went online last year. i kept telling them they needed to pull their weight but things only got worse until yesterday when we had a full blown argument because i asked why their room was so messy again and he said something snarky back at me about how i never help with the cooking. after yelling for like an hour, neither of us said sorry or anything - just went off to our own corners upset.
