A Study Session Gone Awry

So I was supposed to be hitting the books at the library last weekend for this huge exam coming up. You know, the kind that could make or break your GPA? Yeah, that one. But there was a small problem: my best friend Alex texted me earlier saying they were stuck in their dorm with nothing to do. They're not really one for studying anyway, so I couldn't just leave them stranded, right? So, I decided to study from my dorm instead and promised myself it wouldn't distract me too much. But let's be real: Alex is super funny and they can always come up with the most random topics of conversation. Before I knew it, we were deep in discussions about conspiracy theories (no joke, we ended up going down a rabbit hole on aliens in Area 51) and I completely lost track of time. Then it got worse, my roommates decided to have a mini party while I was studying. They thought they could be subtle about it, but the door slamming and music blaring were pretty hard to miss. To add insult to injury, I found out later that one of them had been ordering takeout nonstop (the smell of pizza filled my nostrils whenever I tried to focus). The next day when I reviewed my notes from the night before? There was barely anything there. Just a lot of notes about Area 51 and some scribbles for a new joke Alex taught me. I really hope that study session doesn't show in my grade, let's just say, maybe procrastination isn’t always as bad as it seems?
