My Boss's Daughter Is Always Around - Can't Focus On Work Anymore

So there I was, just another day at work in our local bookstore. You know the drill, right? Customers asking for books they don’t actually want but see on some bestseller list, and then walking out with a coffee instead. The usual stuff. But today wasn't exactly usual because of one person who always seems to show up whenever I'm working, my boss's daughter, Lily. Lily isn’t your typical bookstore customer. She’s more like the friend you wish was there every time you worked just so she could bring you a homemade latte or some fancy coffee from the new cafe around the corner. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice if all my coworkers brought treats for me, but I'm pretty sure they have better things to do than spend their money on that stuff. She’s been coming in more and more lately, ever since she started her part-time job at a nearby ice cream shop. Whenever I’m clocked in, she’s usually right there too, browsing the fantasy section or sitting by our coffee machine, chatting up everyone who walks through the door. Now, don’t get me wrong, Lily is super friendly and always tries to help out when there's something going on with work. She even organized a small book club meeting here one afternoon. But every time she’s around, I find myself daydreaming more than usual, thinking about stuff like how much caffeine she consumes or whether her favorite books have any cool bookmarks inside them. It gets to the point where it's hard to concentrate on restocking shelves or ringing up customers. Even worse, my boss caught me staring off into space once and gave me a serious look that said, “Hey, get your head out of the clouds!” Now I find myself sneaking peeks at her every chance I can, when she’s reading quietly behind the counter, or walking around checking on sales displays. It’s really driving me crazy because it’s affecting my work performance and making everything feel like a chore rather than just another day in paradise with books. So here’s my confession: my boss's daughter is distracting me more than I'd ever thought possible from doing my job properly, which means less productivity and more headaches for everyone involved. Not the kind of story you want to read about, but that's how it goes sometimes when someone keeps popping up in your life at all the wrong times.
