Late Night Study Hall Mishap

Last night, during my college's mandatory study hall in the library, I accidentally knocked over a row of meticulously arranged books while trying to grab something from the top shelf. The crash echoed through the silent room, and everyone turned to stare at me with varying degrees of shock and amusement. To make matters worse, it was Professor Chen’s research materials that went tumbling down, including some rare first editions worth thousands. I felt a mixture of embarrassment and dread as I bent down to start picking up the scattered books. Luckily, one of my friends was there and helped me out quickly. Afterward, we made sure everything was back in order before anyone could catch us in the act. To this day, whenever I see those rare book cases, I cringe a bit.
