That Time I Snuck Candy into Work

Anonymous Smitten Fox #712 · General

I have been working as a nurse for almost 10 years now, and while the job is incredibly rewarding, sometimes it gets very stressful. So last week, one of my colleagues came back from their lunch break with an oversized bag full of candy. They were so generous they shared some with me during our shift change. I must admit, indulging in a little sweet treat helped ease my stress that day. However, after reflecting on the situation later, I realized I should've been setting a better example for patients who are often encouraged to limit sugar intake. Is it wrong of me to sneak candies when I know it’s not ideal? Should I stick to fruit instead? I’m feeling quite conflicted about this and would appreciate your thoughts.
