my kids know this is a joke

so i was like trying to motivate my teens to clean their room cuz it was ridiculous in there but they were just not into it. they always whine and complain about how much work it is and stuff. so i thought, hey why not do what all the influencers do? give them an ultimatum of a reward if they finish. i said if u clean ur room now for 1 hour straight, no breaks, you get a $20 bill each. totally gonna pay off right. but then after 3 days and still not done cleaning (they kept breaking to play video games) i was like oh well i guess they really need that extra motivation or what does it mean if we're rewarding them for doing chores? so yeah i ended up just cleaning the room myself, felt bad for lying about $20 but at least now it's clean and i didn't have to deal with all the complaining. hope my kids know this was a joke lol
