Customer's Coffee Order Is A Disaster Every Day

So I work at this little coffee shop in the heart of a bustling downtown area. Now, there’s this one customer, let’s call her Jane, who comes in every single morning like clockwork around 8:30 AM to order her usual drink. And every day it's a disaster. It’s not that she doesn’t know what she wants, I mean, we’ve had the same conversations about her favorite drinks over and over again. But for some reason, when she orders, her brain just turns into mush. Today was a classic example. Jane walked in with this look on her face like someone had just told her that her beloved pet dog died (okay, maybe it’s exaggerated but you get the picture). She approached me at the counter and said, 'Hi, um... I need some help.' Great, here we go again. She started mumbling something about needing a large iced caramel macchiato with extra foam and without room for cream. Now, I know our regulars, but every detail counts when it comes to getting the order right. So I asked her if she wanted this or that option added, trying my best to guide her through the decision-making process. She nodded and said yes to everything I suggested, only to realize midway through that none of them sounded right. It was like watching a tennis match, back and forth between her and me. Finally, after about five minutes of this, she gave up and just told me to make whatever she usually gets when she's stressed. I smiled politely and said okay, then quickly ran off to whip up her go-to: an iced mocha with extra foam and a shot of espresso. I figured if anything could calm her nerves, it would be that. By the time I handed her coffee over, she looked like she had just been hit by lightning bolt or something. 'I swear,' she said, 'I hate my brain when it's this early in the morning.' I tried to be supportive, telling her we all have days where our minds turn into a jumbled mess of scrambled eggs. She nodded and then left without another word, but I could tell she was still struggling with herself. Honestly? It’s kind of funny when you stop and think about it. But seriously, every day feels like Groundhog Day when it comes to Jane's order requests.
