A Small Lie for a Big Smile

I admit it, I told my grandkids that the cat's favorite toy was actually an old sock I found in the back of a drawer. It keeps them amused, and they think their furry friend is incredibly lucky to have such a 'special' toy! I felt a bit naughty at first, but seeing how happy it made them was worth every guilty flutter in my heart.
