My Houseplants Are My Children Now
Anonymous Scandalous Wallflower #443 · General
So here's the thing: I've been a stay-at-home parent for what feels like forever now. Don't get me wrong, raising two kids is an adventure, but let's just say that after they went off to school and college, I thought my days of 24/7 care were behind me. But guess who found joy in nurturing something green and leafy? That's right, yours truly. My houseplants are the new darlings of our household. Every morning starts with checking on them, making sure they're not too thirsty or getting enough sunlight. I even have a playlist dedicated to their water schedule. Now, here’s the kicker, when one of my little green buddies is looking a bit worse for wear, I feel heartbreak. I’m talking ice cream and Netflix nights because 'poor Mr. Cactus isn’t feeling well.' Is this normal? Should I just accept that I’ve officially become the plant whisperer or am I losing it? Advice appreciated! 🌿
