I Spilled Coffee On My Notes

Today was one of those days where everything seems to go wrong. I woke up late after staying up too late trying to finish a history project, and on the way out the door, I spilled coffee all over my notes for tomorrow's math test. I panicked because there was no way I could redo them before school started. So, I told my teacher that I'd forgotten my notes at home. The funny thing is, she trusted me enough to let me borrow her class set of notes, but the whole day felt like an awkward dance trying not to admit what really happened. Now, every time I look at those ruined notes, I cringe and wonder if she'll ever find out.
