I Spilled My Coffee Lie

So I had this big meeting with the manager today about the secret new coffee blend that everyone's talking about... And we were going over the recipe and everything, but then my hand slips and accidentally knocks a cup of it all over my notebook! Total mess. But uh... instead of telling him the truth, I told him my dog must have gotten into the office while no one was around and knocked it over.... Yeah, well, he knows my mom's always saying dogs shouldn't be in places like this so maybe that sold better than the honest truth? Haha, still feel a bit guilty though... What if my coworker saw me do it and thinks I'm such a klutz??? Ooh, but on the bright side, now the office has a new air freshener too! Lol, who knew spilled coffee could smell so good sometimes? Just glad that one got past the manager without him firing me or anything...
