...When I Spilled Coffee On My Boss's Laptop...

So, uh, the other day at work... I spilled coffee all over my boss’s brand-new laptop. And yes, it was an accident but also partly on purpose because... well, we have this ongoing joke where he's always telling me to focus more and stop being so scatterbrained. And honestly, sometimes his micromanaging gets really annoying. So there was this one time when he was giving me a hard time about some report or something... I just wanted him to get off my back. I mean, it’s not like I deliberately poured coffee on the thing but maybe if I hadn’t been so stressed out over all his nagging stuff, it wouldn’t have happened. But now the laptop is ruined and IT support says they can't even fix it without replacing almost everything inside... which might cost a fortune. And of course, my boss is beyond furious, he’s talking about me paying for repairs or maybe even facing some kind of disciplinary action. It's like this whole situation was just waiting to happen after all the tension that built up between us over months and months... I don’t know... did I do something wrong here? Was it a bad idea to let my frustration out in such a destructive way? Because on one hand, he does treat me pretty poorly sometimes... but then again, it’s just not professional behavior from an employee. Am I being too harsh on myself or should I be looking for another job because of this whole mess?
