When the Toddler Is the Boss

So here’s a funny one that just happened today. I was trying to put away some laundry in the bedroom when my three-year-old, Lily, came charging in and started rearranging everything with military precision. She’s so serious about her toy organization; it’s hilarious! I tried to get her to let me finish what I was doing but she gave me this look like I was invading a sacred space. Now, I’m not really one to complain, after all, I asked for this gig when we decided to be parents full-time, but sometimes I wonder if my kids secretly work behind the scenes to make sure I never get any chores done! Anyway, so Lily’s now in charge of organizing her room and my stuff is just waiting around. Any fellow stay-at-home parents out there? Am I the only one who feels like they can’t move without getting the royal commands from a toddler?
