my biggest mistake

i kinda got carried away at work today and left an important project document on my boss's desk where everyone could see it. i figured she'd take care of the rest but apparently someone thought they were funny and made a big deal out of it in front of other teams, making me look like a total amateur. now everyone is talking about how irresponsible i am even though i was just trying to stay on top of things. why did i think this would be okay? i guess sometimes we forget what's appropriate when we're stressed
